🎓 Why Certification Matters

My focus is on Azure and AWS, as those are the platforms I use daily in my role as a Solutions Architect. I began my cloud journey by earning the Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification in 2020, transitioning from a primarily on-premises background.

To prepare, I used resources like Microsoft Learn and A Cloud Guru. Even though AZ-900 is a foundational exam, it’s important to study the details—some questions can be surprisingly tricky.

For the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, I followed a similar path but relied solely on A Cloud Guru, supplemented with hands-on experience in a personal AWS account and plenty of Google searches.

While certification isn’t required for the Cloud Resume Challenge, I highly recommend completing the foundational Azure courses. They offer a broad understanding of cloud concepts and services—and yes, you get a bunch of badges to show off!
